Well, FWIW I just pulled the trigger on a Creality Ender 3.

Amazon US had them in stock for $229. I could have ordered from BG/China for $199, but Amazon’s reliability in shipping to APO was worth the extra $30, plus it will get here much faster.

I was just about to buy a Tevo Tornado, but then Amazon got the Ender 3 in stock. With it being ~$100 cheaper, I decided to go with the cheaper/smaller printer for my first 3D printer. And from all the reviews I’ve seen it is a pretty good printer.

Only thing to decide now is what filament to get! I’m probably going to get a couple $18 spools of PLA to start off with. I don’t need anything fancy at this stage.
