Any suggestion on Li-Ion (21700, 18500, etc) operated portable drill?

Any suggestion on Li-Ion (21700, 18500, etc) operated portable drill?
I’m planning to use it on general use, wood boards, maybe some cement wall…

Found one Xiaomi’s but no idea if it is a good one…

thanks!

$87 is steep for an electric drill to be imported from China. For the same price, perhaps look into Ryobi from Home Depot if you’re in the US. Maybe a Menards depending on where you live. It’s a decent brand for casual home projects. Sure you’ll have to stay with their battery packs and ecosystem, but if you’re willing to wait until Black Friday, the deals are decent on bundles with drill AND driver plus batteries (a drill is not the same as a driver). Home Depot also runs deals where you get a discount on the tool if bought with batteries. You can actually return the batteries after receiving them and the price gets prorated to discount the tool itself. Ryobi has a decent warranty and at least is supported in the US, versus probably no support for the Xiaomi. I did see a question on BG about replaceable batteries being unavailable. This won’t be a problem for Ryobi or any other big name brands like Dewalt, Ridgid, Makita, etc.

Direct Tools Outlet is also a good source of refurbs that usually are practically new.

Why would you spent almost $90 on a very light duty drill-looking electric screwdriver, when for the same price you can get yourself a very decent cordless drill set?

You mentioned cement walls, you need a hammer drill for that, and I bet the xiaomi would even have a hard time drilling through wood when working with anything above 1/4”, so forget about cement.

It is only rated at 3.6V 3,000mAh which probably means a single high drain battery so the raw power just isn’t enough for any real drilling task. It does have nice reviews, but then EVERYTHING at banggood have nice reviews, because of their “rewards program”.

Get decent 18v tool locally and use it for a long time.
I would like to comment Dewalt 18v batteries are of poor quality. Have them at work, have disassembled them a lot. Many failures, doesn’t look reliable and professional.
Have negative experience with Ryobi. Weak batteries and horrible tool ergonomics.
Look for review and choose the right one  The link you have provided is for screwdriver, not for a drill. Different purposes.

As already mention by others, this drill is week and expensive
Single cell tools cant provide a lot of torque, what do you plan to use the drill for?

Get an old NiXX drill and convert it?
More work, steep learning curve, but you end up with a much better product, AND you don’t have to deal with shoddy battery packs.

I have this kind of brushless electric drill: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33050560565.html

I’m not an expert in drills but I really like the drill as it is powerful and not too loud. I think it uses 18650 batteries and has quite a long battery life.

I had an old drill with leaking Ni-MH Sub C batteries and this drill is way more powerful and has more functions. Brushless drills are said to last longer and be better than brushed ones.
