Anyone ever open the Sunwayman T25c?

If you look at the picture from this thread by djozz

There is a big threaded ring (bottom right) that sits in front of the lens. I used my calipers (part#2) to losen it.

Thanks, that ring is exactly what was stopping me from opening it. Shame I really scratched the outside trying to brute force it. Also should note the retaining ring on the pill is glued in.
