Nope. But it’s on my “when-I-am-rich” wishlist.
That thing’s really cool. Seriously I didn’t think I’d see the day when one can print 3D stuff at home… I guess technology moved a lot faster than I thought.
it does... theres been a few times now i have seen on the news they are worrying about 3d printed guns, yet never once seen an actual issue with them
3d printer has alway been on my wishlist, maybe I should find a 3d printer to borrow to print me a 3d printer
How big is this thing? I don't think our cheapo 3D printer has a big enough print bed.
EDIT: Nvm, it's 1 inch too long.
Does it make the stuff out of plastic? How sturdy is what you make - As strong as plastic?
that sucks... i found one similar but has the sd card in the front slot for $48 or something on that 3d printing site that you can buy other peoples designs on... thats too much i think. not sure what i think a fair price is on this but $48 aint it. and to top it off that one has the power input in the front slot, not the usb...
think I should make my own makerbot... wish i had the money...
what kind of dimensions can you do in your 3d printer, and you willing to do printings for a broke ass like me???
If you're asking me, it really depends on how thick the walls are designed to be. The material for our particular printer is either ABS or Nylon. Strength and rigidity is based on resolution of the print, temperature settings, and even the orientation of how it is printed. Different orientations give strength to certain directional forces like shear strength and whatnot. Currently we print out cases for a product of ours. http://illuminationsupply.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=radiant&x=-1359&y=-156
Approximate limitations are 5"x5"x5", sure we can work out a reasonable price just for the cost of materials.
ok, will have to keep that in mind
i really like the looks of this NES raspberry pi case, but $48 is ridiculous... it looks like there is a lot of wasted space in the link i posted, maybe i can email the guy and see if he can design a minimalist NES case... wish i had more knowledge in this area to design my own though
by the picture alone, it looks like it could loose an inch on each side on width, an inch or so on depth and at least an inch on height... but im no designer...
just need to loose the fake buttons and not worry about keeping dimensions accurate to the original
Didn’t know you sold radiant LPMs. Laserbee was / is really overpriced.
How are your sales on it?
Sorry, I won't be able to help you out there, perhaps if you get him to shrink it a bit.
We purchased Radiant Electronics since the original founders didn't have the time to run it. Sales have been alright. The X4 is targeted as a low cost alternative for the enthusiast, expect new things to come.
