Anyone have the POPPas W-838 from Manafont?

Does anyone have this light (or a clone of it)?

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/poppas-w838-xml-t6-1200lumen-5mode-led-floodtothrow-flashlight-titanium-finish-1186503aaa-p-9446

If you have one, can you please give me some feedback on it?

I don't think anyone had time to get it yet, it was released about one week ago.

It looks nice by the way, but I bought the POPPas W-878 that was released the same day, it doesn't look any better, but it accepts 26650 :)

Yavi, have you received the W-878 yet? mind doing a little review when you do, I know there are quite a few people interested in it :-)

Not yet, I ordered on the 3th, I hope I will receive it during next week, I ordered another item later than that from manafont and I received it already, let's see what happens with it.

I will make a review for you once I see the envelope in my desk ( I receive all on my job, as I am not at home most of the time).

I compared the width of the Poppas W-838’s flood beam with the flood beams on my Kaidomain SS-A100 XM-L and Dealextreme NEW-108 flashlights. All the flood beams were about the same width.

I recently got the popas light. the flood is amazingly wide! it is about a 10 to 1 ratio which is a good wide to zoom spread!

Can you tell me more. Am currently planning a buying spree so would like to know more about this.
Like is it push/pull or twist to alter zoom?
Does it get hot fast (good heatsinking)
Does it focus the LED phosphorous & vires properly in zoom mode ?
What size is the part of the lens that you can see from the front?
How does it feel in your hand and in use - does it feel solid or flimsy, the clickie feels firm or squishy, does the head wiggle when you move it or does it feel like it stays aligned with the body. does it alter focus position when shaken.

I love zoomies and I thought I found the perfect one when the Sipik SK98 came out but the reports that have come back from buyers have left me wanting. Sorry about the bombardement of questions but I am looking really hard for a proper pocketable 18650 xml zoomie that can replace my current work light which is a P60 format ultrafire 504B with a XR-E dropin.

Thank you for any questions you may answer for me.

I tried to answer some of the questions which were addressed to cessnapilot.
I measured the diameter of the part of the lens which I could see from the front. It was 27mm.
Then I unscrewed the bezel and measured the diameter of the lens from the other side. It was 29mm.
I screwed the bezel back on.
The head slid 22mm as it moved from flood to throw. Not much force was needed to make it slide. My personal preference would be to make it harder to slide.
When in the throw position, the head could be wiggled sideways slightly by applying a small lateral force to the head.
The reverse clicky switch clicked audibly and palpably. Not much force was needed to make it click. The switch worked well.
I too would like to hear expert views about the heatsinking of the Poppas W-838. I hope the heatsinking is good because I like my Poppas W-838.

This light actually looks like it would take 26650, though it was not specified as such. Fourstents, can you please help measure the innder diameter if the battery compartment? Does it exceed 26mm?

@ fourstents - First a warm welcome to the forum, I hope you have fune here

Second: TY for the answers. From what you write I can gather that this may not be a top quality zoomie but on the other hand it is quite good especially when price point is considered.

Can someone please measure the width of a flood beam from 1m distance, just to know how wide it is in compare to other ones. Thanks!

The Poppas W-838 accepts an adaptor which holds 3 AAA batteries.
The adaptor has an external diameter of 23mm.
One 18650 battery can be used instead of 3 AAA batteries.
The 18650 battery slides into a sleeve which slides into the Poppas W-838.
The adaptor and the sleeve were supplied with the Poppas W-838.
A 26650 battery would be too wide for the Poppas W-838.

My Poppas W-878 takes a 26650 battery, which has an external diameter of 26mm.
Review of Poppas W-878

I measured the width of the flood beams with the bezels 1 metre from the wall. The edges of the beams were blurred and my measurements were far from perfect, but I hope these measurements were accurate enough to be of some use.
Poppas W-838 flood beam diameter 174cm
Poppas W-878 flood beam diameter 135cm
Kaidomain SS-A100 flood beam diameter 183cm

Fourstents, thank you. No need for perfect measurments ;-).
