I like you love these budget lights , they have opened a whole new world for me and a couple of buddies who thought a 250 lumen light @200… $ dollars was a decent light when I got my first C8 a couple of months ago the wow factor for me went through the roof and now to find out you can soup an already bright light to new levels wow is right .unfortunately I again like you have damaged more lights than modded so that’s why I am here trying to find out where can armature s learn basic modding skills? i passed on modding the lights myself. i sent them off to Tom E and they turned out wonderful.
he’s cheap and fast, and very good, so it saves me the risk of ruining my lights .
Sorry to budge in but do any of u guys know how to mod the stock driver of t6 c8 to make it 1 mode? Or simply get rid of the sos and strobe mode? Oh and its the c8 from aurabuy if that helps… plus i dont have a camera that can take a macro shot of the driver so if anyone could that would be great 
xkenz, just probe around with a DMM until you find the direct connection between positive and postive and the direct connection between negative and negative, then just use those wires. That will make it direct drive, so one mode and very bright.
So doing that wont fry the emmiter right? What if i i did that to a q5 too? :S
