Anyone on BLF have the N-Light ST50? Will protected 18650s fit?

Hello all,

First post on the forum.

Does anyone have an N-Light ST50 XM-L?

I’m looking for a compact XM-L that takes protected 18650s (as I already have many of these battery types).

I thought I’d found a match with the Roche F12, but it’s particular about the cells it will accept.

If anyone on here has an ST50, I’d be grateful if you’d try a protected 18650 and let me know if it fits.

Battery brand and capacity would also be useful.

Many Thanks.

Hi and welcome to BLF, killingtime... aren't we all just?

The only cell (among those I have) the ST50 won't take is the Xtar 2600. Cell length is the issue, as the ST50 rear body tube and tail cap are annodized, so the light is locked out with longer cells by about 1/4 turn. The following protected cells work fine:

AW 2600
Callie's Kustoms 3100
Hi-Max 2600
Solarforce 2600
Trustfire 3000
Ultrafire 3000

Yes, I have one and I am useing these 18650s .

Thanks for your replies.

Will order an ST50.

Welcome home Killer ……

I wonder if this is a well regulated light or just 7135’s as the 2.8-6V range implies.

Does is have a good throw? I’m looking for a “straight body” 18650 light which throws well. I currently have a Solarforce L2T and the brightness is blinding, but not throwy. On the N-Light homepage they say throw is 200 meters, I don’t know how true is that.

Protected Panasonic 3100 dont fit.

other than that, nice light. good price.
