Anyone own this driver

Hey guys im looking to purchase this driver for my upcoming project and i see i can ask for the amps i want ? but how stable is this driver if i get it at 5.5-6amps with three 18650’s

Same basic driver as IOS used to have, in 3/4/4.5A versions. This is the 4.5A one, it's got 4 resistors on one side, and one on the other. R200 & R250 (.2 & .25 ohm), all in parallel. Just stack more of similar values on or beside the ones already there. Using more with similar values will give a fairly gradual increase - if you were to add a .02, it would be a very big increase. Though, what you could do is remove all the originals, and start with a single .02 or .03, then add back the original .2/.25s one at a time if it needs more.

by doing that do u think i can get close to 6A ? or should i look for another driver

Dunno, I haven't personally used it or tried bumping it up yet, though others here have. There was a thread about the IOS version not long ago, but I can't remember the title.

Review by HKJ: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/22355 Ask in there, several people have these and have used them. I still can't find the other thread, I think it was specifically about a resistor mod and how the driver handled it?

edit: durrr... https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/22225 I really should read what I'm linking to first! lol :)
