I’m planning on building a C8 but hit a dead end with an extension tube. The one on FT I’ve read worked on the Convoy C8 prior to the 2014 update. I’ve searched but couldn’t find a definitive answer besides “your results may vary.” Are all convoy flashlights threaded the same? As in if I use an L4 extension from BG on a C8? Does anyone have both a Convoy L4 and C8 to see if their tubes are interchangeable? Has anyone recently (within the past 3 months) bought a C8(any brand) and extension tube that fit?
I’m not specifically sure but I will say that I have an L6 and an L2 and I could take the handle from the L2, put it on the L6 and run 2x 26350 cells for a “short stick” L6.
It wasn’t as bright though with the 26350s vs 26650s. It went from about 4,500 lumens to about 3,600 lumens and I put it back the way it was.
That is what I got out of it. How hard can this be? Clearly there is a demand for ext. tubes. I f somebody marketed the tube and a suitable driver for a reasonable price, it seems that they’d sell a few.
Glad i have an older C8 plus that tube.
I’ve got a MT-G2 on copper DTP coming soon (good deal at Intl. Outdoor), and a FX-30 driver too.
Should be fun!
