So Digikey has what are listed as XP-G3 emitters in cool white tint. I ordered 2 of them to see what I could do with them. I tried the good old method of soaking one in gasoline. After 24hrs, the dome was still attached, although fairly loosely. With a slight nudge of a toothpick, the dome came off, pulling some of the phosphor with it… Dang… Ok, so I try the second one, only this time I use the x-acto knife to try and slice the dome off. It was a bit more successful, however, the tint is very yellow, much more yellow than my dedomed xg-g2 s4, and it’s less bright than the xp-g2. Anyone else had better success yet?
