Anyone swapped out the led on a Xin TD C8 with an XP-L

Any likes or dislikes? I’ve thought about doing this with mine so I thought I’d get ya’lls opinion.

I’ve been wanting to try the same (but to a convoy c8) I would imagine you would have to enlarge the opening in the reflector with a file or drill. I wonder how it would affect the beam.

XP-L is smaller than XM-L2, no need to enlarge anything, you probably thought on something like MTG or XHP!

I have a C12 that came with XP-L and it has an ugly beam. I guess different dome makes different beam profile that doesn’t work well with XM-L reflector. You will probably also need XP to XM-L centering adapter to get it properly centered.

Now when you mentioned ugly beam, recently I modified Solarforce Skyline 1 with dedomed XM-L2, man that combination give super ugly beam.
