Anything other than PayPal you are using?

Hi,

I have just heard about PayPal’s recent policy that they will keep the transaction fee of 2.9% (and most likely 4.4% for my country) for refunded transactions. I would like to know what payment platform should I use other than PayPal.

What (international) payment plat form you’re using and what do I need to know about using one of these platforms (particularly the fees)?

Well, it depends where we would shop. Most sellers/platforms accept Amazon pay (bank account/cc/ similar), ebay (paypal), paypal payment acceptance, faster payments (or similar, depending on country), and lately also wallet providers like skrill/neteller or similar.

There are a few shops that allow cryptos but we have never tried that.

Actively, we use paypal, linking bank account (Amazon), and faster payments. The faster payments scheme has a UK focus but there are comparable schemes in other nations.

I do have Alipay, but I have never really used that to pay/collect for anything yet, nor am I confident enough that people here are using it. Most importantly, the whole thing is in Chinese, which is …well.

Alipay has been introduced to other markets as well, Germany is one of them. you can walk into any DM and Rossmann drugstores and pay for items with alipay. So it is available depending on the market you are in.

Payments are truly going global now and there will be a lot more cross-border payments in the future.

A select stores online/offline also accept Apple pay, but I don’t have an Apple device to try it out.
