Having difficulty finding a round mcpcb for a 3v xhp50.2. Anyone happen to see one one the internet anywhere? I have star form but it requires cutting which may have attributed to frying my light.

What’s different about the 3V pad configuration?

Is that what happened—you had a direct short from + wire to the host
3v XHP50 is just standard 5050 pad layout, any XM board will work (so noctigon if you want round)

Not sure if I’m reading that right.
20mm, 16mm XM Noctigons etc would do?
When filing down MCPCBs sand the top trace layer round the edge at a 45º angle with a fine stone then fine paper to recess exposed trace edges.
Make sure all is smooth & neat.

Quick Q, so I see 6v mcpcb but can this be used with a 3v xhp emitter?
A 3v XHP50 can be put on a 6v XHP50 mcpcb yes (and will still only be 3v) as a 6v setup is still just a standard pad layout but a 3v led CAN NOT be ran on a 12v mcpcb (that would instantly break it as you’d be shorting cathode to anode).
If you’re using a sinkpad capable of either/or with a 3v led set it up as 6v with the jumpers bridged, NOT the 12v method with the resistor. This goes for 3v XHP50 or XM-L / sst-40 as well.
