It was suggested by the admin that it would be appropriate for me to ask for forgiveness for the incorrect and multiple posts in the wrong threads. I understand that was annoying for all of you. Thank you for your patience as I learn the ropes. Please don’t let my rookie mistakes reflect on Andrew-amanda.com as a company. Hopefully you will continue to consider us as a flashlight resource after I have proved my good graces. Any other recommended acts of penance are appreciated flashlight fam
I have ignored your posts until this one, I may pay more attention now, maybe… I appreciate the effort to be part of the community.
I think second chances can be great for many types of problem behavior.
It sounds like you have learned your lesson, so good for you!
Welcome!
I followed your store several years ago, back when I was a member of that "other" flashlight website.
Hmmm, I never even noticed your “transgressions”.
"Andrew--Amanda.... Any other recommended acts of penance are appreciated flashlight fam "
While your approach for garnering interest for Andrew--Amanda was certainly a bit unorthodox, if not strange, it really didn't bother me.
As a fan of A&A and your multi-mode approach to sales, I had wondered why you hadn't joined BLF before now. I'm guessing that Covid's affect on your survival precipitated your recent threads, as well as the temporary interruption of A&A's "Deals of the Day" weekly emails. I was glad to see that you had resumed that program this past Friday!
Now to help A&A move on and hopefully thrive, in lieu of penance , how about a few hopefully helpful suggestions?
1) Introduce yourself as an individual (rather than a store). Just look at the rapport the community has with store & manufacturer representatives such as Hank of International Outdoor/Emisar/Noctigon, Simon of Convoy, Terry of Wurkkos, Jackie of Sofirn, and so on! Doing so will make you more approachable to BLF members for building a solid, positive reputation. It will also make it easier to cultivate thread discussions.
2) Jump right in with a Give Away, perhaps with a focus on a brand rarely seen or mentioned on BLF, such as EagTac (formerly EagleTac), Flashlight Accessories, or even some of your non-illumination products.
3) As USA-based dealer, consider bringing on popular overseas brands & products with currently little to no U.S. representation whose products can otherwise take several weeks or more to arrive.
4) Consider offer a standing discount for BLF members with a simple, easy-to-remember code, such as BLF$.
I hope those help and also wish you all the best!
This is click bait guys.
I’m screaming AMEN to allll of these. I actually did introduce myself when I first arrived- I need to find that thread if its still here.
I’ve offered several 20% off presale codes in here. Is that a deep enough discount to be considered of value?
GIveaway would be awesome- however I gotta admit I am super gun shy about doing any promotion after having my hand slapped and then revoked pretty quickly. any advice?
As far as oversees brands you or BLF want. I am all ears. Any brands that I can suggest to the owner?
I will post my intro thread if its still here and I can find it. I entered into this forum really trying to connect and be personal and saying “hey im new, but would love to hear how AA can improve and how I can learn about this niche product. I totally understand this group being policed and mediated. I have a tiny house group myself on facebook. TINY HOUSE NC if anyone cares…
but forums are all different and I’m hoping to not get kicked off again while trying to authentically connect with the customer base that I would love to learn from most.
Glad to hear the damage wasn’t as extensive as it was made out to be. Pretty scary getting kicked off the forum for your job that you just got and need to keep. I’ve been laid off since april of 2021 due to covid . I held that job for 8 years. So this opportunity is pretty paramont. I don’t know if it makes a difference to anyone in here. But Andrew (the owner of Andrew- amanda) is seriously one of the kindest hearts I have ever met and really trying to give me a chance to make my place here at AA and be an employee that adds value to the company. I have anxiety that my stability will be in jeporday again if I lose this job, So getting kicked off the forum wasn’t a great first move at the job. lol and Andrew wasn’t angry or disappointed. He’s been so patient and understanding. I share this bc I would want to know that the owner of a company that had authentic product and in the US is also a generally honest decent human and business person. Persoanlly I support that kind of company over anything big box or commericial if the price difference isn’t that different. and I;d love yalls opinion but from my research our prices on nitecore and acebeam are some of the lowest… Aliexpress was the only lower prices by like 10-15 and it’s an oversee store front with ridiculoys shipping times. and that’s why I asked about the fake products in here.
Wheww… Ok that was me getting personal and sounding off. If its not the right place or thread- Im sure it will be deleted. But I Hope it shows that I am hoping to be different by being me- Mary Gillogly New kid on the black at Andrew-amanda.com
Thanks yall
is it? I wish I was that savy….
hahaha- I feel you— I wanted to take more time to actually be genuine but I have been trying hard to keep up here and be valuable to AA
Thanks for that honesty. I would think the same thing …
So what went down with the other forum?
Other than these helpful tips…. What else would yall like from AA— Think about any reasonable requests that are consideration that no other flashlight store/dealers offer or bother to do….
