RaceR86 and Helios says that they are not high cri/ incorrect tint. This was posted on 12/4/2013 (more than 1 year ago)
I've just used the three known-genuine 219Bs I got from IlluminationSupply a while back, and compared side by side with another triple using the KD 219Bs. They're very similar, I have to look very close to see any difference. I may be fooling myself but it looks like the ones from KD may have a tiny bit more red in them, but it's very very slight difference between them.
The IS 219Bs are in a Roche F6 using a Helios- driver and driven at some unknown ungodly current, the KD 219Bs are in a little Solarforce Z1 with a 17DD and AW IMR 16340, driven at a somewhat less ungodly current, and drive current does affect the tint even on two known-identical emitters. So that may be all I'm seeing.
Ungodly, less ungodly, retarded bright; these are truly useful and meaningful measurements for me. This is the spirit that keeps me coming back for more. I apologize for interrupting the thread, I just like the attitude to push and see what can done.
I ordered some 219A’s from fasttech. They are way warm, somewhere in the 8 bin. Still a very nice light when this warm, so even if those 219B’s are warmer than 4500K they should still be worth it.
