Just to be sure as it states “bare”.
What does that mean?.
Hope they’re ok for a triple for a sinner host!.
Thanks!.
LED: Nichia NVSL219BT-V1 4000K, 93 CRI, D200 Bin-Bare.
These are BARE emitters. Reflow setup a must!

anyone know ?…
Thanks.
they are fine if your after max cri. If you are wanting max lumens go for an XPL. Bare means they are just emitters, no pcb, and you have to solder or flow them onto a bare pcb. Judging by (no offense) your post, don't buy those, order an already populated mcpcb, a DTP Noctigon Pcb with emitters already mounted. It's Not a thing for beginners.
Or meet half way between and go for nichia 219C.
Nichia 219C: Hank is sold out of 219B triples.
You probably want to order it in parallel.

I have used them but they are not my first pick a little too warm for my liking. But if you are looking for an emitter that will make colors pop out at you that’s a good one.
Thanks yes I’m hoping these will be sent to sinner to build me a copper 18650 triple HCRI pocket rocket lol.
ok, some questions;
how many lumens would a triple give me on these LED’s?.
what power would these be driven at?.
I’m looking for a powerful high with great flood and some throw.
what’s the best switch for it?.
thanks.
Nichia’s have a great tint and they are low power consumption emitters. This makes them nice in triples because you get great run times and a super tint. But they are not powerful emitters at all. They are just about the lowest lumens per emitter.
I would look into high cri XP-G2’s. They are a bit harder to find but their tint is equal to the nichia’s and they are more lumens. Double the lumens actually when you are looking at OTF. That’s Out The Front lumens. In other words this takes into account the loss of lumens from the optics. Expect about 600 lumens with a nichia triple, but it will be really floody and have a super tint and run a long time on a single battery. A triple XP-G2 will double that to about 1200 lumens OTF.
XPL will give you a whole lot more lumens but it will also get very hot very fast and drain your battery as well. Also as the heat builds up from them you get “thermal sag” in other words you are using battery power to create heat instead of light. You can watch as the light gets dimmer and dimmer. So it starts out super super bright, but goes down FAST.
I have built something like 50 triples now and I like them all, but if I could only have one triple it would be an XP-G2 triple for outside or a Nichia Triple for inside or close up work.
