I recently bought 4 of these drivers (BLF X6 X5/Astrolux S2 S3 SS SC version) from banggood and installed 2 of them in my flashlight.
Both 2 of the drivers had problem on switching modes.
The first 1 was installed with both driver and tail switch spring bypassed and changing 20awg wire to the emitter. When i switched on and tapping the tails switch to change the brightness, i realized the brightness increases slowly (not really really slow but enough to notice the smooth transition) rather than blink and change immediately like normal flashlight.
Then i installed the 2nd driver onto another flashlight without touching anything and realize i had the same problem.
Originally the driver allows going back to the previous mode by doing a medium tap (half press 0.5s to 1.5s) and reset to the first mode by doing a long tap (half press more than 1.5s) but for my case, i had to tap more than 3 second to going back to the previous mode and tap and hold for very long time to reset to the first mode.
Anyone here experienced this and how can i fix it?
THe first described problem is actualy a driver feature 
Cant be “fixed ” without reprogramming
The second one is a cap problem and could be fixed by swapping the driver caps
