Astrolux FT03 pulsing at low brightness

I got my Astrolux FT03 SST-40 and using it with a Samsung 30Q. I have visible output “vibration” or pulsing at low brightness, it’s not visible at higher outputs. Should I be worried or is that not an issue?

Probably not an issue. It’s likely that the lowest level is just a bit too weak to properly power the LED. IIRC, you can change the moonlight levels in Narsil, from something like 1 to 7. I think the lowest selectable level almost never works. The default is 3, I think. Try setting it to level 4 and see if that helps. Look at the very confusing Narsil guide for details.

I have the same light but using a high drain Shockli 26650. I don’t see the pulsing, but I may be less sensitive to it than you. In any case, I wouldn’t worry about it, because it is unlikely that you will be using this thrower at low brightness. Isn’t it great a great thrower?
