Astrolux FT03 replacement driver/FET

Hi!

I managed to destroy the driver of my freshly arrived FT03 XHP50.2 flashlight.
I’ve been testing my new-to-me 40V15A power supply(it pulled 12.5Amps at 3.9V though), and I did some jitter measurements at 12V.
At a confused moment, I decided to add some load to the measurement, and quickly hooked this light up by alligator clips. :person_facepalming:

Huge compliments to the driver, it did not completely burned down. The switch started to glow red, and I disconnected the light. It still works to some extents, the switch lights and flashes as it should, ramping works, turbo works, but the FET won’t turn off completely, it stays on at 80mA current.

Do you have any links, preferably with cheap(free) shipping to a replacement driver? Or should I only order a SIR800 FET, and try to reflow it.

Try messaging Mateminco on AliExpress - they may be able to help you out with a direct replacement.

You killed the AMCs replacing them usually fix it is the MCU is still responsive

AMC7135 constant current regulator.

Do you have any suggestions how to separate the two boards?
I tried to heat the brass spacers evenly with two soldering irons, but it did not come apart. Are they supposed to be press-fit?

I separated the two boards, and replaced the 7135 regulator.

Then came 2 problems:

On minimum ramping mode, the light turns off completely. It might be a configuration issue, not really a problem.

However, the standby current increased to 50mA, and does not go down to the previous 0.1mA as before.

I assume I should by a new driver then, do I?

Easiest option. I bought a new driver from mateminco, shipping was 10,50 driver 6$ or so.
Almost cheaper to buy a new colored one for 29

Sure, it is. They replied me this morning, quoted 12.5USD.
They were not clear if it is only the shipping cost, or driver included, but that is propably the maximum I would spend on this driver.
