I ‘m a new user of this product which was bought
over 2 years ago. It was planned to be used as a gift
hench it has been not been tested till now.
Result:
All works well with charger conneted.
When removing charger cable, the S43 does not work
Battery is tested and measured to be 4V.
Also tested with second battery with same result.
Any tips for my trouble shooting ?

I don’t own a S43 but in the pictures the driver has a large brass button as the + contact.
So you’ll need a button top battery or one that the + terminal is proud of the insulating ring and wrapper.
Also in pictures the battery tube threads are anodized so I would recommend cleaning the un-anodized ends of both sides of the battery tube and be sure to screw on the head and tail tightly so they make good contact.

Found the problem to be the endcover with spring.
The cover is too long causing the tube not to
reaching the contact point in bottom.
Instead of shortening the endcover I inserted a
washer and all worked well.
Have you tried flipping the battery tube around?
Maybe the threads on the other side are deeper?
Yes, I have tried both sides of tube.
Also tried both sides of a longer tube which I bought additionally.
Seems to be a production fault on end cover received.
Otherwise everything works perfect
