It’s gotten hard to support Astrolux any more with their lack of support but those sound like cool lights.

4 Thanks

I’ve been looking for a nice new 14500 light… not sure what throw/flood means though. I hope it’s not a zoomie.

1 Thank

Good news!

I’m curious if Mateminco or Sofirn will produce these flashlights.

I’m still hoping for an Astrolux MF03 or a similar flashlight with a few XHP70.

Need to sell more small lights to make the business profitable again first.

ASTROLUX EA04 (2023)
4*HP50 12600lm 382m 26650/ 26350/ 18650/ 21700
DD Driver / Simpe Mateminco UI

2 Thanks

I like that. I’d buy it.

My guess is this is Astroluxes’ version of the Mateminco LT40 i just reviewed. That UI is…forgettable. really needs Anduril 2, or I hope Astrolux fixed the thermal issue.

1 Thank

Could be the same as LT40 but I have to check if the LED model is still CREE or something else.

The LT40 came only with xhp50B. Maybe they’ll use other LEDs?

Any plans for anduril lights?

2 Thanks

Hmmm, the EA04 looks like an updated EA01S, with (possibly) slightly higher max output and a simple UI (in stead of Anduril).

I already have an EA01S and I like Anduril, so I don’t see much interesting changes/improvements in why I should want a EA04, or am I missing something?!?

Price will be lower than EA01S (current rate).

1 Thank

ASTROLUX hasn’t been using Anduril firmware for quite some time.

If it’s the same as the LT40, and Astrolux hasn’t changed the thermal algorithm from the Mateminco version, then it will not be an upgrade to the EA01S which has Anduril and can be tweaked for better performance and slower stepdown. The LT40 only has smooth ramping, not stepped.

3 categories of lights are:

  1. Mixed tint multi-emitter 26650/ 21700

  2. P60 style 18650

  3. Throw-flood 14500

All lights are still in testing phase, so I won’t publish any image for now.

If you still support ASTROLUX, be sure to bookmark this thread for more updates in early June.
