Award winning NEXTORCH TA30C featuring patented one-step-strobe technology

My review of the Award winning NEXTORCH TA30C featuring patented one-step-strobe technology

Sad to see yet another manufacturer move from constant frequency to alternating frequency strobes.

Is that bad?

What’s a patented one-step-strobe technology?

Very bad for light painting photographers who like constant frequency strobes in light trails. Unfortunately many manufacturers have changed from constant frequency to alternating frequency in the last few years, and many don’t even advertise it as a selling point.

I don’t care for the the tacti-cool strobe, but that tailcap twist UI looks pretty good. Shame Nextorch don’t get more support here, they seem to do quite innovative lights (I remember their usb programmable one years ago, about the same time that modifying AA minimags was ‘the thing’).
