Back up charging.

Found this at Walmart last night. It's a 4400 mAh battery with both USB and micro USB plug-in 's.

They were on on sale for $8.88 so I thought I would try one and see if it would power my Xtar VC2 and charge a cell. So far it is working. Got it on a single 14500 now, next gonna drop a10 amp Panasonic 18650 and see how it comes out.

I may be getting a few more of these if this works.

Was this on clearance or origional price?

That’s cool! but I have a question, why a different battery to charge a battery?
Why not buy more actual batteries to charge by mains and swap them out when depleted?

It's for back up places like work. Some nights I may not use even 1 cell other nights I may need 3. This is safer to carry thin and easy to keep hidden. Hard to keep a charger there.

I think the best use would be during power outage. If you had 3 or 4 of them you can keep your lights and phones charged.

It was clearance but I did not even check the regular price.

Yep… off the grid power is a great thing. I plan on doing this when I go backpacking and camping. Nice thing about 14500 cells is they charge pretty quick. I’m considering getting a solar charger too.

I charged 2 14500's pretty quick. Still had plenty left for a 18650. After that rated at 4400 mAh I thought time to charge it. I plugged it in and still had 2 lights out of 4 which is suppose to be half full. Not so sure about that, but it did still have some left.

I want at least 2 maybe 3 more if they still have them.
