Bad haircut experiences

My barber upped her price to $22 recently. Was $17 two years ago.
Always give her a healthy tip. And a box of chocolates for Christmas.

Where do I get my hair cut?
At the Gun Store.

Where do I buy guns?
At the barber shop!

This is Texas after all…

Remember, the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is about 4 weeks.

That’s a good one.

So what kind of equipment is everybody running? Lol

I use a Wahl Elite Pro corded for myself and a Wahl Lithium-Ion Pet Clipper for the pups.

The corded one is great, no complaints, but the cordless one can’t do a full pup on a single charge and could use more power. I went cordless so i could chase them around the yard with it if they won’t sit still but I should’ve gone corded and an extension cord because it’s really not enough power or runtime.

I opened it up and it uses a single china-brand 18650. I might try to stuff a 21700 in there.

uhhhmmm… no.
I’m still just an old slow geek with no added perks. His long hair came with all sorts of other blessings and powers… lol.

Or a Stetson.

I cut my own hair since forever. I use a corded pet clippers, I think it’s Wahl. The clippers cost less than the price of one haircut today

I started cutting my own hair many years ago. It takes practice to get right. Clipping the back is especially tricky. I have Wahl corded clippers that’s been going strong for over 20 years.

Worst haircut I ever got from a professional source was at a chain called “Fantastic Sam’s.” I looked like I let my kid brother experiment on my hair or something–never went back. Since the chain has disappeared from my area, it would appear that my experience was not a fluke.

So true! But I have to take it off indoors…

I’m very selective about who I let do mine, or just do it myself, which tends to mean I avoid bad experiences. In general I’m constantly changing my actual look in terms of length and colour (at the moment it’s a deep reddish, asymmetrical, chin length on one side with a sidecut on the other, but I’m probably going to change the colour again soon, maybe go back to purple or blue, and maybe do something else with the sidecut).

But on the other hand, not only do I have a difficult texture but also most things I ask for need a lot more effort/skill than just a student, I probably wouldn’t ever use a beauty school for anything more than dusting the ends; I guess the main thing I look for in who does it is that I trust them and feel like they can understand what I’m asking for. From that I’d say I’ve not really had a bad experience in an extremely long time to the point I’m not sure exactly when I even last did (at least not in the last 15 years or so, during which time it’s been most lengths from lip-length to midback at least at some point), but I’m always wary of the possibility so usually very specific about what I want, and it’d take a lot (probably wanting to see previous work on similar hair types) for me to trust it to someone I don’t know. For simple stuff, which probably ends up being most maintenance as well as some bigger changes, I mostly just either do it myself or get my partner to.

How about a Roomba Hair cutter?
It attaches like with arms in your earholes and chin strut and after laser analyzing your exact head dimensions gives the perfect cut to your liking.
You go first, I’ll watch.

Something stupid destined for Shark Tank

Think of all the server space China will need to store all the head mapped data along side all the robot vac room maps!
All the Best,
Jeff
