I currently have 3 Molicel P28B in my M44, and I’m on the verge of purchasing some LG HJ2 cells, which are also high-discharge cells but have a slightly larger capacity (2800 mAh vs 3000 mAh) and better cycle life characteristics. Would it be worth it?
Those will work fine with the M44, minimum CDR is 15A, IIRC. Whether it’s worth it, depends how often you use your M44, but they seem like a good enough fit I might have to get some myself now…
You might want to wait for the P30B
What are you using in your M44s right now?
It’s a boost driver, so there won’t be any advantage to them. P30B will be great for a D18 though.
There is still an advantage to the P30B, just not in maximum brightness. The P30B has a lower IR, so they will not heat up, and will also run for longer at high current. It depends on use if the extra cost is worth it though.
touche, I guess I did unspokenly mean “advantage you don’t need test equipment to measure, versus value”
but yeah, Molicel are overall the best allrounder batter for just about everything including general quality.
