This post is just for posterity’s sake…
I stacked an R150 on top of the R100 on the 1500mA version of the BD39 to give it a little boost.
I got the boost alright, power consumption from the power supply went up from a little under 10 watts on 100% to almost 19 watts, but the poor little driver can’t take that much of a boost. It heats up way too much to operate in that configuration.
I may try a less ambitious combination in the future.
On the topic of sense resistors, is there a sense resistor variety pack to be had somehwere?
