Beam of convoy C8+ CULPM1

My new c8+ with CULPM1 has a beam pattern I haven’t seen before. It has a bright spot, then some kind of corona around it and then the spill. This corona is what irritates me, it makes the light with a thrower led/reflector combination more an Allrounder. I tried to take a pic of the beam, while not a good beamshot it shows the corona.
Is this normal and/or is there a way to get this corona focused in the spot?

Completely normal and possibly a sign of good focus. It does not detract at all from the throw.

Ok, thanks. Never seen before and I have quite some lights. TIRs are special anyways, but my (throws) reflector lights all have only spot and spill, so I was a little confused.
