Beam shots. TK22, TN32, FF4-S

Hello guys. Today I wanted to share with you some output shots I took comparing my Fenix TK22(2014 version), TN32, and my brand new Firefoxes FF4S 65watt version.

Close up shots. Trees are about 170ft away.

Control shot

TK22 Turbo

TN32 Turbo

Firefoxes FF4 65watt mode

Here are some medium range shots. The middle tree that the lights are pointed at is about 500ft away. Forgot to take a control shot but I think the pics will still be meaningful.

TK22 Turbo

TN32 Turbo

FF4 65watt mode

If I can find a range about 2miles long I'll be comparing these to my Maxabeam! Not sure if there are any ranges that long around here though haha!

Very nice shots

Thank you! Interesting to see how the FF4 outhrows the TN32 while still illuminating a much larger area.

A member here in BLF has tested the 60w FF4 at 435kcd, iirc

Good beamshoots !
The FF4 have impressive throw, maintaining an amazing flood :open_mouth:

Nice FF4 65W!!

Very nice pictures. Whats your camera?

Thanks guys. It's an Olympus EPM2 micro 4/3 camera. The camera settings were set manually and remained basically the same throughout all the output shots. 4 second shutter, F3.5, ISO 200 in the close shots. The long range shots were zoomed in 3x so the F-stop dropped to 5.6 IIRC.

The pictures are very nice, thank you!

Maybe you will include more lights in the future, and if Maxabeam is one of them then that will be very interesting!

Nice work ImagioX1. Very high quality shots. Really digging that beast FF4.

Yeah this FF4 is amazing. By far the most amazing light I have ever seen or owned! Also goes to show that even the longest throwing LED flashlights have a ways to go before they can match HID.

The images were taken by a budget camera. It all comes down to getting the settings just right and having full control over the focus.

Im not sure I can justify too many more lights to get more beamshots of LOL. I am considering an Meteor M43 or one of Imalents lights though. Any other lights you guys want to see compared to the TN32 and FF4 that wont break the bank too bad?

I also have a 60w FF4. A camera simply cannot capture the full size of the depth, width and throw of this light, relative to its size. Tested by BLF member RDfronty @ more the 7,000 lumens in high.

You have to see it yourself live, in action.

But, if this is the only light you own, it is also the most impractical to use, as the lowest mode is more than 2,000 lumens!

FF5, when are you coming?

No need to break your bank man, whenever you have added any new light to your collection feel free to take some beamshots for us.

That FF4 is putting out 6000-7000 lumens and 460kcd something on high, iirc. A heavily modded BTU Shocker can put out >4000 lumens and >400kcd, which is quite close to the FF4; Also a heavily modded Fenix RC40 or Acebeam X60 may come near to that performance as well.

Well, I really didn’t intend to lure you into buying more!

Mine is the 65watt version so it may be 500 or more lumens brighter than his! I sta

@bibihang Ive been addicted to lights since I was in diapers. You didnt lure me into buying more lights LOL but you did get me to thinking more seriously about it! That said Im definitely buy the FF5 whenever/if it ever comes out. Infact I was putting off buying the FF4 but since there has been no word on the FF5 for quite some time I decided to go ahead and get it.

Few shots with the Maxabeam on High.

TN32 on turbo and Maxabeam on High

Maxabeam on High, TN32 on Turbo, FF4 on 65watts. Showing relative center intensity. Most of the FF4's huge spill is not visible in the photo. It totally blows the others away in shear brightness.

wow nice shots! You have good thrower collection!
Thanks for sharing!

:open_mouth:

Still haven't found that 2 mile long area where I can test the maxabeam's full range without attracting too much attention!
