"Beer Can" vs Thrower Light; Different Uses?

What are the practical use differences between a 4x18650 “Beer Can” light like the BLF Q8 and a 1x18650 thrower like the BLF GT Mini?

Is there a reason to have both? :laughing:

Like washing your car with an adjustable nozzle. Do you want light spray over a big area, or do you want a smaller more intense pinpoint of water.

Throwers go long distances but aren’t as useful for up close tasks. Flooders are great up close, but don’t shine as far.

Then there’s zoomies. They do a little of both, just not quite as well as a dedicated thrower or flooder.

BLF Q8 has decent throw for a soda can light. Really versatile for uses, but large so a smaller EDC is nice to have too.
