I like to take a couple lights outside after dark and walk around the property a little. Tonight I just saw a big arse bear in the backyard. Might have to whistle while I walk.
We get alot of bears out here! Some of them will break into your car if there's any food around. Even our garbage cans come with chain locks lol. And then some will kinda check you out and then come up to you for food. Like what happen to this jogger on the trail by my place. Hey, got some snacks?

Our bears mostly like to be invisible. I see torn up tree stumps from when they look for ants, grubs, etc to eat when we hike around here. Also poop piles, but seldom actually see a bear. The game camera has caught a couple over the years though.
and bear spray.
usually, in our area, June is when the young male bears wander away
from their mothers “looking for love” on golf courses, in swimming
pools, or, more recently, in an unlocked SUV….however, the SUV
was not “just right”, so a few claw marks were the damage.
We have 7 apple trees on our property, a few cherry and some plum trees. The apples are attractive to bears in particular. We mostly let the apples fall for deer forage, although we allow some neighbors to harvest for their canning. The bears can be destructive in the late season as they try to climb to reach the remainder of the crop, breaking branches. My wife, year before last, had enuff and went out and stripped all the fruit from every tree. The next couple days saw evidence of massive bear vomit in green/white piles and bear diarrhea in other colored splotches. She brags that we have had no more broken branches since.
