Black spot..?

Did I over amp the little xml… lol. Its a perfect little black hole in the middle of the hot spot that was never there before.

Guess 5 amps is is to much for them.

That’s my first casualty. Seems those 25Q pack a few too many amps the xml can’t handle…

Maybe it’s just a burned flux on top of the dome, if it is on surface of the phosphor then it’s officially crispy toasted…
I think 5A is pretty safe, should not do that…

5 amps is fine, you probably aren’t cooling it enough.

After inspection, it looks good, can’t really see any damage…?

Whats the max amps a well cooled xml can handle…?

You might be right. Its on the oem aluminum star that came with the p60 its currently in, unwrapped.

Probably like 6-8 max, there aren’t many tests done on it with currents that high.
Aluminum stars suck.
