My watch should run forever on those.

Tangy…

How many trademark violations can you spot?
I see at least 4

ecigs is a huge one, probably by far the biggest and the majority of folk who buy, do not have a clue. They trust what they read as fact. The old “if it’s on the Internet, it must be true” line.

It’s not surprising at all. Most shoppers do zero research into what they buy, instead relying on marketing and ads to drive their purchases. You see this with lots of things (like buying crappy 1911 style handguns because they’re way cheaper than a Kimber/Wilson). Then because their only experience is with the crappy items, they judge all other crappy items by the ones they have. So the TangsFire’s are great because they’re as good as the CrapFires they were using.

I blame it on the decline of the US educational system.

Notice how the ad reads “Marking Capacity:3800mAh” Then at the bottom reads “package includes 3600mAh”
I guess some people still fall for it even though the false advertising is starring them in the face.

i guess dropping links to this seller to panasonic, mcdonalds, and ubuntu might be in order here.ebay openly tolerates this sort of scummy dealer.

It’s the same reason if you put ZX or LE or something on the back of a junky car it sells for more. 3800mAh sounds great and that’s half of what the consumer bases their buying and even satisfaction on. If it has a cool label, and isn’t total trash, they will sing it’s praises and even pay more for it. It’s easier and faster than doing real research and it gives faster satisfaction.

btw i deal with vapers and educate whenever possible.several have come in with crapfire grade 18650 with runtime issues.they were surprised to get much better service from laptop salvage cells.
if i didnt already pitch it i have a spiderfire 18650 that from new shows about 300mah at 1a on the old triton.the guy thought that recharging 4 times a day was expected for his fancy new mod.now several days on a charge from a salvage cell that does 1500mah at 1a.

I can’t speak to all the various battery Mods for E-Cig vaping but I did just buy a ProVari from ProVape ($204 - 2 year warranty). These are the top of the line, made in the USA, stainless steel standard bearer for ultra high quality variable voltage/wattage battery Mods. This is for just the battery Mod. No cartomizers’s, atomizers, rebuild able Genesis type tanks or batteries included. All that stuff is extra. They come in various flavors (battery sizes) including 14500, 18350, 18500 and 18650 (single batteries) and are made (sized) to work with AW IMR batteries ONLY. The web site and manuals specifically say to use only AW’s or your warranty will be voided. That worked out fine for me as I only have only ever bought AW’s (black and red) and have quite a few of them in all sizes. There is another U.S. maker that specifies AW only batteries as well - House of Hybrids/Zenesis (lifetime warranty/no electronic controls). The quality is the same as the ProVari but they are strictly mechanical (no adjustable voltage or wattage) and use more exotic metals in the parts. Those start around $220 and go up from there. Same deal on the accessories. There are only a very few makers of vaping equipment in the U.S. Great stuff if you have deep pockets.

Almost all of the other Mod makers and e-cig makers (almost all are from China) will sell any cheapo battery they can get their hands on, unfortunately. They DO sell a LOT of them (millions). There are tons of different makers and models. Many come with adjustable posts or supply rubber o-rings to accommodate various battery sizes. They sell a LOT of them as the prices are cheap, cheap, cheap! I chose to pass on those as almost all of them only have a 30 day warranty, have very questionable electronics and switches and are usually made out of some kind of unidentifiable pot metal.

Every time I read about battery nightmares and tall tales about capacity numbers on XXXFire batteries I remind myself what a great decision I made to stick with one brand of battery - black or red AW. Yeah, I know they are kinda pricey. I’ve only had 1 out of 120 or so AW batteries ever fail on me in 4 years or so (18350 IMR and I think I abused it with a 1100 lumen Moddoolar light engine - 1600 lumen with 2 cells) and it was replaced under warranty in less than 4 days. I’ve bought so many of them from the same vendor that they didn’t question me and simply sent me a new one. They told me to throw the bad one away. Great warranty and service.
