BLF A6 as dedicated bike light? Will it hold up?

I beg to differ.
I like to travel as light as possible.
I’m using a Convoy S2+ (T6 with 6*7135chips). Usually 1/3 of the time - full power, 2/3 of the time - middle mode. With a 18650B it lasts about 2,5 hours. Maybe more.
I’m always carrying a spare battery.
This way, the near 0,5kg a SolarStorm/Force bike light weight is reduced with 2/3.
If I want more light, I always can mount another Convoy S2+ (which counts as a spare battery carrier); all this would weight nearly half as the aforementioned SolarStorm.

ok, YMMV!

For me, it’s not so much about weight, it’s more about bulk. My handlebar space is extremely limited. A small 18650 light with a small attachment device is all the room I have. Otherwise, I’d have to use an extender bar or something. That just gets too cluttered for me. And if you go for a heavier light, you need a much more bulky device to keep it solidly held in place, or stick the battery pack somewhere else which adds to clutter and wires elsewhere.
