BLF A6 Feedback

I picked up a couple of these from BG a month ago @ $15 each. Real nice lights. Well made, Simple Interface.

They were listed under Astrolux but they say BLF on them.

BLF A6 is the exact same flashlight as the Astrolux S1.

The Astrolux S1 package is the BLF A6 flashlight, but also includes both 18650+18350 tube. (whereas the BLF A6 is the one that only comes in 18650 tube).

Going back the history of the development of the BLF A6 flashlight, it looks like the BLF forum collaborated to develop this A6 model (with TK’s now-called “BLF A6” firmware), and was released as “BLF A6”. But afterwards, Astrolux (Banggood) seems to acquire the right to sell the BLF A6 under their “Astrolux” brand, and they called it the Astrolux S1 — additionally adding an 18350 tube add-on in the S1 package, whereas for the BLF A6 (withou 18350 tube add-on), it’s still called the BLF A6.

Other BLF flashlights have also Astrolux equivalent.

BLF X5 = Astrolux S3 (as in, there is no difference, the package is exactly the same, and the flashlight is exactly the same, only the label on the flashlight is different).

BLF X6v2 = Astrolux S2 (it seems like the “BLF X6v2” is not available anymore, only the Astrolux S2 has continued for some time — although I notice the S2 has been out of stock for many months now, but recently saw it listed as “available”, but is now again listed as “soon to be available”.

I belive there are a few other BLF - Astrolux lights, but mostly known just by their Astrolux model now.

Have to sort of second that opinion…

Astrolux S1 (BLF A6) was my most used EDC light until I got the FW3A… although I’ve also been using the D4v2 alternately somewhat recently…
