Don't mean to ask all these newbie basic stuff but for now, there's lots of info for me to soak in atm. It's all good but I was wondering if it's possible to put this Cree XHP50.2 in my BLF A6? I can choose any led pcb to glue/solder in?

That led is 6 or 12 V. Unless you change the driver, you need a 3V led.

See if this helps: Search results for '' - BudgetLightForum.com

That’s the result of typing “modding A6” (without the quote) into the Search box at upper left corner of your screen.

It’s not uncommon to find that you’re not the first one to ask, and someone has already answered, a question here.

If you find your answer from material scattered all over the place, writing a brief summary with pointers for others to find is always helpful.

Thanks for the above tips

When I first got into flashlight futtering, I found this a most useful guide:

But there are also 3 Volt versions now.

As stated above, without a driver change you’d need the XHP50.2 3V version instead.
