how cool would be a blf chat room!
i have thought about an irc channel before too… could help stop a little of my off topic chatter 
irc would be awesome. I’d be in, already have a client installed.

im not exactly sure how you could set up a channel on a server and have mods controlling it, but im sure its fairly easy. i know we could set our own up, but id rather have it be an official part of BLF and not a free for all that makes our community look bad
yah i also have that insomnia .tossing and turning all night .im sorry to hear abour your laid off situation.
i remember we had a chat room where former classmates would meet up and i would somtimes spend 15 to 20 hours chatting!! very edictive.
lots of ideas and info were shared within seconds and while there were some mischief makers .they were quickly kicked out.
and i remember we paid a premium fee of $18 valid for 3 months .our profiles had “primium” on it meaning can chat .after 3 months we had option of renewing it for another 3 months. this way the site had funds for its operating use.

well there should be a nice looking TAB on top that says “chat” and upon clicking it ……you enter into a nice coloufull java based chatroom …most of us are not too computer savvy :face_with_monocle:

phpfreechat is pretty easy to setup, and doesn’t need IRC to operate either
Could probably setup lighttpd on a Raspberry Pi and run a chat server…it doesn’t take a whole lot of nothing to run that
