Leaving the batteries in the carriers for an extended period is this recommended or not ?

I have never had any problems with it, as long as i can mechanically lock the light out to avoid parasitic drain. (The GT can mechanically lock out with a turn of the battery tube/cap) I do check the charge of each cell every couple months to make sure they are staying in a balance state of charge, (within 0.15 volts of each other.) and not stored at to low of a charge. Li-Ion cells seem to be happiest stored at roughly 80 ~ 90 % of charge if not going to be used for long times.

Appreciate The speedy reply sir.

Add something here…

I’m new to li-ions. I was in a hurry to test my new flashlight and stuffed 4 batteries that were…3 at 4.15 and one at 4.03.

Some use later, they all read 4.09. Now, after more use, 3.95

Curiosity, did the cell self balance? If did, why? Because they are in parallel?

Parallel cells automatically self balance. Series do not.
