I am interested in these lights and at the moment I am planning to get an MF04 and a GT70.
I am really looking for direct comparison feedback on these lights, it seems as if there is a bit of reluctance out there to compare them.
The reason is pretty simple. Cost factors. Not everyone can own all lights to compare with each other.
I own 2 of the original BLF GT now.
Original Astrolux MF 04
And want to purchase the BLF GT70 and new Astrolux MF04 S
Having second thoughts because new lights are constantly being produced these days.
Some pretty expensive too.
I still have lights like Tiny Monster 28, MF Tactical Mini Monster, Haikelite, plus others that I never got around to using.
Bought on impulse.
So moral is going to be cost factors why people are reluctant to compare reviews. Unless they got lights for free.
I understand and respect the cost issues (my wife wishes I respected them more) but I am not necessarily referring only to physical head to head comparisons, that information is out the in videos and images, I am asking for the head to head comparisons because I find that the members of this forum come up with some damn good information on a regular basis and I would love to read some opinions from these folks who know a hell of a lot more than me and have spent hours pouring over these lights and their performance.
True indeed. Again, the guys that do videos, reviews, etc… are supplied the lights for free most of the time. From the actual production company themselves. The general population can not buy every light released and compare them to each other. Cost factors remain the main reason for comparisons of different lights being reluctant.
I have a MF02 with a xhp70.2 lexel driver being driven relatively hard at 8 amps 12 volts. 7500 lm. 300lx I can post some beam shots?
This is my favorite light, and I pretty much have all the popular big lights.
Think about it this way. It throws, it floods, its not to big. Great battery life. It sinks heat well, it Looks good. Reminds me of my jetbeam T6 with double the throw, double the lumems,and double the flood.

This might sound strange, but I would like to see comparison pic of the flashlights being point straight up in the nite sky. I feel like it would give us a clear view on beam angles/degree’s differences?

At first seeing those pictures I really wanted the MF04S, but upon inspecting the MF04/BLF GT comparison closer it seems that the BLF GT has a every so slightly more focused beam. Or at least a sharper cutoff. So I guess I’ll contiue the wait for the BLF GT70.

I have ordered a MF04 and will order a GT70… I think this will be the best of both worlds… 
All good… i think astrolux mf04s gonna be great… i think it has to do with the centering and focusing…
If you dont need to run 8 cells version, mf04s is the way to go… much cheaper…

I just had my GT70 de-domed…
Too hazy to know the difference… But I will have the de-domed GT70 and the GT together soon for a little side by side
