On that driver the heat sensor is inside the Atmel microcontroller. Mayba that controller’s sensing part can be faulty too. Try to blink out temperature when light cold and making the problem and blink out temp when it works fine. Maybe this give some clue.

Narsil can tell you the temperature what the driver thinks it is measuring. If it give you a high number when cold then it measuring badly. Triple click from Off then it blinks battery voltage. And make a doubble click from battery check. Then it blinks out temperature in celsius. First tens then singles. Count led blinks. 24 looks like 2 blinks pause and 4 blinks bigger pause and repeat.

Maybe a weak battery draws the voltage down so low the light shuts itself off?

That is 35C or 53 if you read the two numbers wrong order which is about human body temperature. Do you feel lightly warm or the light was completely cold? Or 53C if you read the two numbers wrong order but that feels hot What it blinks out inside when warming up?

I think i got 61…6 fast blinks and 1 short one…light is in my room…so not cold or hot.

That is 16 C. First one is the 1 blink.
At room temp it maybe can have that errorto read 16 at around 21-23C . It is not a calibrated thing.
But if outside is colder you can’t read 35 or 53. That is some thermal sensing problem. turn off thermal stepdown and turn it to timed 1 or 2 minute if it keep turbo for that time.

Hey brain, your thermal is definitely reading high.

I tested mine… room temp is 60f… i got one blink, and 4 blinks… 14 C.

Looks like it was trying to blink out two hundred and fifty some (25 tens plus x ones) but you cut it off after 4 of the ones blinks.

Seems like the temp sensor inside the tiny85 is faulty

Yeah its messed up…doesnt like the cold, who knows…im getting another GT70…so i will test that one also.
