Don’t think ur trippin’ but… I think the other side was going to either be blank or have the manufactures name (Manker), then at some point it was decided to put Kronos on there instead as a tribute and pay homage to the Founder, Organizer and Grand Master of this Special Edition…
Pretty cool ain’t it!

Yes sir, you are. But more than that you take the time to share your work here on the forum, as well as help members with their mods, problems and inquiries. And I admire your “Full Throttle” attitude!
This SS/CU set is Over The Top! can’t wait to see ’em in person.
Cheers

Please do write it all down somewhere — and set it aside for a year or three.
It’d be a shame to lose the information permanently as people do forget what’s not documented.
And what’s been forgotten or never warned about gets repeated by the next person to try.

No centering ring? Could that (slightly) improve output when added?

“In Greek mythology Kronos was the leader and youngest of the first generation of Titans, the divine descendants of Uranus, the sky, and Gaia, the earth. ”
Kronos is the sputum of Uranus when it hits the dirt. How’s that for a story? It draws in all the analogous sorts, too, eh?

Great that the X5 reflector is as good as the T01 reflector :-)
I assume that this is noticed before or even a ratio behind the design, it even allows focussing the reflector

Something I’ve been exploiting all morning,
I put a thin butterfly centering ring around the HI, with some tweaking to it’s thickness and a bit of filing off of the bottom of the reflector, I fine tuned the beam’s hot spot more to my liking, a bit larger than if the reflector is all the way down. I lost some lumens in the box, but that’s ok, it had some to spare.

Hi together,
First of all I’d like to say thank you to all who made this project happen. Eventhough I’ve discovered it just two days ago I’m fascinated by these lights. Great work!
Second, I saw that my entree from Monday evening might not have been fully understandable but if anyhow possible I’d like to be on the waiting list, too. Or let me know what else is needed to get there…
Thanks again
Pascal
Who is left on the list?
Maybe people have not logged in lately any other way to contact them?
Any one that does not want the light should let yous know so you can let others buy them!
Please put me on the waiting List of the Cu/SS Version in NW Tint.

Forgive me but I don’t understand the picture:
I see a black lead touching the (neg) end of battery and a red lead touching the spring. Shouldn’t the same color lead from the neg. end of the battery be connected to the spring?
Oh I get it. Its going thru the meter to measure the current, hence one black and one red. lol!
ok. thanks.
I assume the black wire is connecting to the body by being held under the clip?
I will definitely want to make that standby current and light output lower for sure. 0.63 amps is quite high for a 24/7 drain. I would prefer less than 0.1 amps drain.
If you do this, please let us know what parts, which vendor, and stuff like that. If you decide to go with 2 small LEDs to even out the light on both sides of the tailbutton, that would be nice too. Thanks.

Dear BLF experts,
I need to order some batteries for these lights from Mt. Electronics. What would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

14500: Windyfire IMR 600mAh or Efest Purple IMR 650mAh.
18650: Plenty of IMR and IMR/Hybrid choices since you only need 6A of constant current.
Unprotected flat tops.

I have some 22K resistors that I use in the LVP on the FET drivers. Stacking 2 of these for 11K netted me a current draw of 0.15A 0.15mA on the lighted tail cap.
Edit: Correction, that’s supposed to read 0.15mA. Sorry

Everybody is still talking about 30Q as the best battery out there, but I asked in the A6 thread I think, and asking now, what about LG MJ1 or Sanyo GA? 10A but 3500mAh, in theory they should be better on the 18650 light, since they have more mAh, and enough A for this lights? Or are I’m mistaken?

Does this also change the timing of the otc?

before people freak out I’d like to say this is 0.15ma (miliamps) not amps. The same for TK’s reading, 0.63ma.
