What are the official GB prices? I thought that they were $49.99 and $62.99 (with batteries), however when I put those in at eBay as “Make Offer” with my BLF ID after following the links in posting per posting #7717, they got rejected. Did I misunderstand what I was supposed to do? I am on the list for 4 lanterns, but I only put in an offer on one without batteries and then one with batteries. I’m trying to follow through and do the correct thing to get these, but I’m not having any luck.

Any advice to help me to understand how to get lanterns will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That is correct price, but as mentioned recently due to their loophole and flawed GB system, Sofirn has suspended Ebay & AE purchases until they can fix the issue, (hopefully soon) They been sending out GB codes slowly for the Amazon store, but is taking some time. We hope they can get the problem ironed out soon for their Ebay & Aliexpress stores.

Thanks folks for letting me know what is going on. I hope they get things worked out soon, but we’ll continue to be patient. Hopefully whomever it was that did this hasn’t screwed things up too badly for the rest of us who have been waiting patiently and trying to follow the rules. I’d happily go the Amazon route if they’ll send me a code. I guess that I’ll have to keep an eye on the SPAM folder to make sure that nothing inadvertently gets put there, if they decide to send e-mails and not PMs to this site. Just another thing to do for this flashlight obsession, er, I mean hobby. Thanks all. Jeff

Are the lists in post 2 being updated? It currently only shows up to 2904 as of this posting, but the recent post above says we’re up to 2937? It said we must verify ourselves that we are listed correctly in the list, so just wondering if that requirement is still there… and if so, which list should we be checking? Thanks!

It gets updated on Sundays ,check back then. But Sig does a good job keeping track of adding interested/requests to be on the list.

Unfortunately Sofirn decided to send out the PM’s manually so there’s no way for us (non-Sofirn people) to know where they are at or who was sent a PM. You should have gotten a PM since your numbers are low enough but there’s no way for us to check.

Sofirn has said that everyone on the list (3000 and under) will be able to get their lanterns at the group price so I’m confident that you will get a PM at some point, one way or another. Things are in a suspended state now until a more efficient and secure system is in place so until then nobody is getting a PM.

Everything will be done via PM’s since we don’t have access to anyone’s email address. Make sure you have PM’s enabled on BLF and you should also periodically check the spam folder of the email tied to your BLF account.

I also requested a code for one with batteries, and have yet to hear a response back. I wanted to get the first few loaded, as I’m intending them to be gifts. Guess I should have just ordered one without to get the ball rolling. My first position on the list is 665. Not too worried though. It sounds like there’s a pretty good relationship established here with Sofirn.

In the event you’re looking to add a bit different color to the poll, DBSAR, I’d like suggest something in the realm of Flat Dark Earth. IMO, it kicks sand/gold’s butt.

Do you have any sample pic of that color?

I have been requesting ano colours from Sofirn before (for the C01 in which I was involved) and although many colours were discussed, I made a real effort to get a flat olive, the ones that were finally decided on were the limited range that were used on other Sofirn lights too. I understood that some ano colours are cheaper than others and those are simply the cheap ones.

Further, light transparant colours are easier, deep and darker colours are more difficult. I do not know if difficult is just more expensive or if they are impossible to make.

Nice dark ano colours are a rarity, some oldschool Shadow lights have a great dark brown colour, and of course the “desert tan” from Convoy is nice too. I would love to see a dark green in the same darkness and texture of the desert tan.

I think that Sofirn needs to be convinced how important colour is for their buyers, if they find an anodisation plant that can make a few really good colours (like Convoy did, and Emisar makes rather nice colours too) that will pay back the higher production costs in improved sales.

Personally I stick to black only because I dislike the weak candy colours that are the alternative.

That’s why I stick with black as well. Black is safe and I pretty much know what I’ll get. I did make an exception for a C8 that a gent on here built for me, and that’s in a sort of graphite silver/grey that is just too classy for words.

-I’m wondering of we should start a vote-poll on the colors that Sofirn will offer the later batches of the LT1 in, to see who & what percentage of certain colors people like & will order? (so that Sofirn can have an idea of what colors are the most popular for the BLF LT1 to produce for the demand? Right now the planned colors are Black, Green, & Sand/gold. (and if they can a blaze/orange)

I would vote for

either Dark Green or Pine Green

Blue-Grey or Dark Blue

Sand or Faded Copper

Deep Orange or Traffic Cone Orange

'Burgundy' or 'Auburn'

Pale Lime

and a Silver /Clear anodized/ one of course - and all colors in a 'metallic', moderately shiny or sand-blasted finish, if possible.

I’m suprised Sofirn didn’t go with Blue and Red since that’s what they used for other lights. I would vote for ‘coleman green’ but if that’s not possible my second choice would be clear/un-anodized.
