Hey everyone Iam trying to build a blf x6 triple the mcpcb from mountain Electronics looks like this . I need to drill a hole in the center for the wires here’s a pic that I found of it being done. Is it really this simple

Yes. You do need a spacer to go under the mpcb as well as the optic. but that is about all.

Thanks bought a spacer from kiriba-ru. Do I need to make sure to get rid of all of the center pad? I guess no power is going to it anyway.

Drill from the emitter side down, to keep from pulling the copper trace and leaving a heavy burr when breaking thru, use a sharp or brand new drill bit, start with a slow steady RPM speed, try not to get the bit HOT, it will grab and clear the drill bit often to keep from loading up and grabbing, it is after all copper, which is very soft.
