Hmm, interesting. My initial reactions:

  1. Having white, red, and green in one light could be nice.
  2. The head does appear to be bulky. May need to hold one first before I fully judge that.
  3. I’m concerned how an off-center LED under an aspheric optic would perform. Again, I’d need to see it in action.
  4. As has been mentioned, the remote switches are nice for hunting but are prone to high electrical resistance unless you use an “active” style where a FET is used instead of flowing the full power through that long of a cord. Since it looks like the remote switch can easily be installed & removed (I like the concept!), I’m guessing it’s an active switch?

Are the overall dimension (include head diameter) similar to the B158 (/B158B)?

Ohhhh… that explains a few things. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that design before. Now I need to see how the internals work… [off to google image search]
