Brown/Gold Ultrafire 2x18650 review

My first review Brown/Gold Ultrafire 2x18650. Purchased from aliexpress seller “topcop” but they do not seem to carry this light anymore. A similar light is available from dx http://www.dx.com/p/skyfire-sk-9270-cree-xp-e-r3-240lm-3-mode-white-flashlight-brown-yellow-1-x-18650-battery-pack-295577#.UzJDn4XTc9-

Mine is xml-t6, came with 2 batteries and charger for $11.99. I think this price was a mistake by the seller. It was shipped with tracking and arrived in about a month to Canada. A few minor rash marks on the tail from shipping otherwise this light looks great. Shiny smooth surfaces with flawless machining. And the nice brown colour with gold trim! I Know at least one of you out there wants one!

Has a charge port and charger which works, but seems to shut off too high at 4.3 volts or so.

Lens is glass, Plastic reflector seems flawless. Reflector is smooth at front and textured near emitter. O-rings seem really good, don’t know if the switch and charge port would hold back water??
Threads are nice and smooth but seem to have too much play.
Forward button to me seems the way to go.

2 amps with 1 battery, 1 amp with 2 batteries with brightness seeming exactly the same. Battery life should be really good without the light output dropping off, which is one of the main reasons I ordered this light.

I only have a couple of lights, but compared to my tangsfire C8 this brown baby with gold jewelry on high has a little more light than the tangsfire on medium, and has more throw. The tangsfire has quite a bit more light on high, but I find it quite noticably fades if kept on high for 5 minutes or so.

Brown/gold on high left , tangsfire on medium right

This light comes apart to the pill in mere seconds, but because I have been concentrating on the “hoarding stage” I wouldn’t know what to do with the pill etc., to make this light brighter.

Where I live in Canada I have no need for guns or weapons of any sort really, but for readers who seem to have a lot of weapons this might be useful. I would not want to be hit on the head with this thing.

“CAN” rating 4/5
“CAN” rating considering price 5/5

Thanks for the review.

Wow $11?
I think this’s a good price!

Thanks for the review can!
But, do yourself a favor and toss that batteries in the trash and, if possible, use a dedicated charger for liions

Thanks for the review can. I go along with what koyote mentioned.

Thank you for the review :-)

Looks great, except for the charging port. I find the cover on such ports is always pulled open and dangling in use, annoying in itself, water resistance aside.
