Does anybody know if CNQG will get stock of the BTU shocker host. I’ve inquired from them, but no reply…
I don't think so. They went out of production last year and have been sold out for some time now. One of my favorite lights!
I'm still holding onto mine...maybe I'll finish it someday! I've built dozens of them but never got around to finishing my own. I took it apart two years ago and never got around to building it. A dedomed direct-drive XM-L2 shocker is truly an awesome light. DBCstm also has a pretty awesome 20,000 lumen triple XHP70 shocker.
I have to have one of these. Who's selling???
Thanks Richard. Mmm, its sad. I don’t own one - it would have been great to get my hands on a few hosts. I see Wallbuys lists a complete light for around $120? Wonder if they actually have them in stock. I cannot find anything on the page about being discontinued or not having them in stock?
$120 is quite steep, but its probably still not bad if one looks at it’s potential…
Does anybody maybe know why the light has been possibly ‘Discontinued’? Or, is it just the host-kit that’s not in production anymore?
The entire light was discontinued. The "hosts" ended up just being returned broken lights--not new host kits. $120 was the normal price for the XM-L2 versions.
Ok, Thanks.
i asked ric today….he wrote,yes,they sell it…
I wanted to have Shocker long time ago but the price was 100+$, host for 65 isn’t that bad deal although I would very much like to get the driver for that price also instead of outdated leds…
Hi Vresto. Thanks for your feedback. Who is Ric?
Owner of the web store from OP…
Hi Sirius9. Thanks, now I’m struggling with ’OP’?

Thanks MRsDNF, appreciated…
Mmm, look at this. I’m trying to contact CNQG again to find out what the situation is in terms of actually getting to buy the light. As vresto commented, they still sell it, but how and when can one buy.
Mmm, another interesting one. Have not seen this before?
Here’s the XML version…
I call that one a mini TK70, a lot smaller than a TK70 or Shocker. Not a bad light but not a Shocker by any means. Pictures of that light and a TK70 which has a head similar to the Shocker.

Ah, thanks southland! Interesting. I really hope CNQG will bring back the Shocker Host!
I’ve inquired from CNQG. They claim to have the new version of the BTU Shocker, I believe the XHP50/70 version mentioned above, to be released soon. I’ve asked about a host-only version, but did not receive any information… I hope they will do a host-only version.
