+1 on doingoutdoor bought some medium titanium ones recently, quality is just fantastic although a little expensive if you could stretch a little more.

I just found those on ebay. Similar concept to s-biners, but bulkier (cheaper too). I’m gonna order now to check them:

The smallest titanium carabiner still weighs the same as the larger aluminum carabiner I use. 2.8 grams.

I just use them to secure small items to my keychain. I like the ones that Werner and hank linked to. They look similar to McGizmo clips. I can’t seem to find any similar ones on ebay or from somewhere that does free shipping.

2 bucks for the pack, and they have wire gates… in this price range, much better than solid gates.

Nobody would even think about a cheap carabiner for anything other than tying stuff up right? Just the op mentions climbing, that is one area of kit where ‘budget’ doesn’t cut it!

For sure…just a neat keychain gadget. Ive lost stuff with even regular carabiners (I guess the latch snagged or caught or popped off with the cheaper wire style)…so even using it for gear Im not sure about.

Ive never seen a Grimloc before now but it looks cool, looking fwd to check it out.

I bought a large handful of these at harborfreight last year. Strong, convenient, great quality at a cheap price and available in many sizes, colors and finishes.

My grimlocs arrived today:

I bought the 4 tan/brown ones for $4.90. They are smaller than had in mind, I thought they would be the size of a regular carabiner but they are smaller.

Quality is cheap, they will not close by snapping shut from open, I have to depress the thumb-push then shut, then release the thumb-push. So not a great deal, I can see these at the Dollar Store being 2 for $1 or something. Maybe 1$ each tops. Cool thing to have but just ends up being more junk.

Maybe the genuine ones are different, I dont even know if the ones I received are genuine or if there is any quality difference or what…But maybe they are supposed to all be like this, Im not an expert Ive never even seen a Grimloc before this…
