I am pretty interested in slip joint pocket knives, the “old timey” types but can’t really $40/ mini Texas toothpick if you know what I mean. I don’t see a whole lot of them as compared to the more tactical types. Anyone have budget slip joints? I’m more interested in a Chinese branded rather than a case knock off, but whatchoogot??

Wow, funny I went to the brick and mortar smokey mountain knife works years ago and don’t remember seeing those. Hope smokes 50 pages of them in all finishes. The pricing is great too, around 1/4 the price of case from what I can see. I don’t collect to invest, I collect to enjoy and use. Thanks again. I’ll post up when I get a few in.

Me too. Case knives are too expensive for me. RR are good enough for daily use; the price are so low and the quality is ok.
When my digital camera back home, I will put a couple of shot of my six blade slipjoint! :bigsmile:
RR….great quality for a very low price. I have several. Blades always come sharp.

If you can buy rough rider knives in person, you can do your own quality control. I have ordered a few that really shouldn’t have passed inspection. I have also seen rough riders that had better fit and finish than most case knives. It is always nice to see the product before you buy it.
