Hi everyone, its come to that time where I need to replace my flashlight again.
The last 2 flashlights I had were the Convoy S2+. This was the model just under the most powerful, with 6 (I can’t remember the name of them) chips on the pill.
Budget is around about £15-20 or $12-16 (TYPO- converted wrong, I meant up to around 25 or so dollars)
I like the Convoy S2+’s, I mainly used them on mid mode.
I would ideally like something with a moonlight mode this time round, so if on a hike or similar I got lost I would have some form of lighting to be able to see for a long period of time.
I have plenty of 18650’s- older cells I have used for vaping that work fine, but due to their age I would just use them for in a flashlight now.
Thanks for your help, Conan.

Convoy s2+ with bistotti chip, just need to bump your budget up about $22. Make sure you buy direct from Simon on aliexpress Convoy store to make sure you get bistotti firmware and have 12 modes.

isn’t 20 pound about $26? Seems to fit.

Well they said £15-20 or $12-16. $22 is 16.83 pound sterling according to the online conversion. I was simply going by the suggested $12-16 but as you pointed out it seems it fits the pound suggestion.
Who sells convoy on BG and FT…?

BG and FT buys from Simon but they only get the 3 or 5 mode versions and dont carry the biscotti unless its a light that only comes im biscotti.
Another option if you can solder and like the light you have is to replace the driver. I think Simon sells just the better driver.

Sofirn SP32A or SP31 v2.0 are other good choices in the same size and power ballpark. Their lowest setting is 4 or 5 lumens.
Mine came with a battery and a charger included so I’m not sure you’d need them. I believe they might sell them alone though.

Can’t go wrong with BLF A6.

Look at a C8
Better more comfortable torch all round with much wider choices of output.
I’ve got 2 x S2/+. never used them.
4 x C8 varying. plus a C8+. Use them all the time.
Just another alternative in same price range with possibly better drivers for you.
Well, I should of been more patient, the biscotti S2+ would of suited me well- I am quite impulsive so could of waited, also the BLF seemed good.
BUT- I got from GB a Convoy S2+ with 7135 x 6 emitters, for just over £9. Was on flash sale.
So, I lost out in a way, but got a light I know is good from owning before at a great price. Cost me about £11 with fast shipping.
