Hello everyone!

I am looking for a used generator for camping. Craigslist & ebay seem to think there stuff is made out of gold & no one EVER replies on the CL adds :confused:

An older Honda EM500/ EM600/ EM 650 would work. Also the EU1000i or EU2000i. Yamaha EF1000 series too. Just has to be portable and fairly quiet.

If it needs work that is great also, I have been an aircraft mechanic for 18 years & worked as a diesel generator mechanic for 3.5 years too.

I know what you mean about craigslist and gold plated… however, if you stay on it, there are occasionally some gems. I got a very tidy eu2000i for 800. And I’ve seen near new ones as low as 750. (I also wasted my time looking at a $700 pos that photographed well, but wouldn’t start.)
