Well I'm stumped, when I searched the model number I found this...
May be a stupid guess, but could the 3 letters be “SZN”, i.e., for “Shenzhen”?
Thanks that thread told me alot.
In my experience, the battery pack should have the brand name of the laptop manufacturer printed in the pack, and chances are almost 100% the cells inside are from the big, reputable manufacturers. Battery packs that does not have the printed name of the laptop on which it is intended to be used with, and only bears the words “replacement battery’ are usually, though brand new cells, sourced from small Chinese 18650 cell manufacturers.
Like in the example link that was given, http://www.ebay.com/itm/221200515225?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&\_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649, it clearly shows “replacement battery”, no name brand of a laptop.
Thx, lesson learned, these were mainly bought to fill 2 usb battery boxes which require unprotected cells, and this seemed most cost effective method. So far these are performing quite well. I think the reviewer from the other thread’s measurement of about 1600mah is about right.
